The Liionidas Extreme MK2 is the premium evolution of the Open Baffle design created by Leon Huijgen, conceived as a complete solution for those seeking not only high-level sonic performance, but also a loudspeaker with true high-end furniture presence. It is hand-built, with meticulous attention to detail and no compromises.

This version features the Platinum-10 drivers, the current flagship driver from Lii Song, clearly elevating resolution, coherence and natural musical flow compared to the original design. The result is an open-baffle loudspeaker with a wide, fluid and highly musical presentation, remarkably easy to match with both tube amplifiers and solid-state amplifiers, provided they offer genuine quality and proper control.

The Liionidas Extreme retains the full acoustic concept of the original Liionidas Open Baffle, while introducing significant improvements in mechanical structure, stability and finishing. A thick, rigid metal spine reinforces the baffle and ensures a firm, stable structure. The Liionidas crossover is fully integrated into this metal spine, with the binding posts positioned close to the drivers, allowing for clean, straightforward wiring with no complications.

The lower panel has been replaced by a heavy metal base fitted with spikes, ensuring absolute stability on both hard floors and carpets. Every element is designed so the system behaves as a single, solid unit, free from unwanted resonances or gimmicks.

The black piano finish is carried out in a piano factory, using a thick, oven-cured lacquer process. The surface is perfectly flat, deep and mirror-like, with exceptional hardness, allowing it to be cleaned easily with a cloth without leaving marks or residues. This is a finish that looks, feels and endures like true high-end cabinetry applied to audio.
