Lyritech Riverside 8 Silver Edition

Description

Lyritech Riverside 8 Silver Edition / Gloss

Full-range naturalness, taken to a higher level

The Lyritech Riverside 8 Silver Edition is the most refined evolution of our original Riverside 8. It retains the immediacy, coherence and musicality of a full-range loudspeaker while introducing a higher-performance driver, a reinforced cabinet and an elegant high-gloss natural wood finish.

At its heart is the Lyritech Silver 8, an 8-inch dual-cone full-range driver designed to reproduce music with outstanding tonal continuity. By covering most of the audible spectrum with a single transducer, the Riverside 8 Silver Edition delivers an exceptionally cohesive, direct and natural presentation, without making the music sound divided between separate drivers.

The result is an open, expressive and immersive sound, with remarkably present vocals, realistic acoustic instruments and a broad, precisely defined soundstage.

A vivid, natural and richly detailed sound

With its high sensitivity of 94 dB, the Riverside 8 Silver Edition offers excellent dynamic performance even when partnered with amplifiers of moderate power. This makes it particularly suitable for valve amplifiers, Class A designs and low- or medium-power electronics, where the quality of the first watt matters far more than an impressive power figure.

Its sound combines speed, clarity and tonal richness. The midrange has a beautifully natural presence, while the integrated soft-dome supertweeter preserves detail and openness at high frequencies. Bass reproduction is fast, articulate and surprisingly extended for a stand-mount loudspeaker of this size.

The Riverside 8 Silver Edition does not seek to impress through an exaggerated or artificially spectacular presentation. Its real strength lies in allowing the music to flow naturally while preserving the tone, emotion and scale of the original performance.

New Lyritech Silver 8 driver

In place of the FAST 8 driver used in the original Riverside 8, the Silver Edition incorporates the more accomplished Lyritech Silver 8.

This new transducer provides greater clarity, control and refinement, particularly through the midrange and upper-midrange. Voices sound cleaner and more present, subtle musical details are revealed more easily, and performers are positioned within the soundstage with greater precision.

Reinforced cabinet and improved resonance control

The Silver Edition features a stronger and carefully damped cabinet. Its increased structural rigidity helps reduce unwanted resonances and provides a more stable foundation from which the driver can operate.

As a result, bass becomes more controlled and clearly defined, stereo imaging gains focus, and the presentation remains clean and composed even at higher listening levels.

High-gloss natural wood finish

The cabinet combines high-gloss natural wood veneer with an elegant black front baffle. The depth of the Gloss finish enhances the natural grain of the wood, giving every pair a subtly individual character.

Its construction conveys solidity and quality, while its carefully balanced proportions allow it to integrate easily into domestic listening rooms without sacrificing visual presence or elegance.
