Ting-1 – Our First Supertweeter

The Ting-1 is our very first supertweeter, and we are proud to present it as the ideal complement to our full-range speakers. It brings a remarkable improvement in imaging, detail, and liveliness—a difference that even non-audiophiles will immediately notice.

Why a Supertweeter?

While full-range drivers can reach frequencies between 17 kHz and 20 kHz, their performance at these extremes is limited by physical constraints:

• The mass and size of the cone reduce resolution at higher frequencies.

• Real music is not a stable wave—it is a dynamic, multifrequency signal that constantly changes.

A supertweeter specifically designed to handle dynamic micromovements in the high-frequency range can deliver an audible and meaningful improvement.

Development of the Ting-1

From the beginning, we aimed to develop a supertweeter that truly complements our full-range drivers. During this process:

• We tested nearly a dozen prototypes, but none matched the performance of our high-end full-range units.

• The challenge wasn’t reaching high frequencies, but achieving smooth handling of micromovements, free of harshness or grain.

• After launching our Platinum series, we discovered the right diaphragm material.

• Testing confirmed that no component could be compromised—leading to a fully refined result: the Ting-1.

Installation and Use

Using the Ting-1 is extremely simple:

        1 . Place it on top of your Lii Song full-range speakers.

        2 . Connect it in parallel with the full-range driver (to the same terminals).

        3 . No further adjustments are necessary.

The sonic upgrade will be immediately noticeable. Keep in mind that performance will continue to improve during the break-in period.
