The Lii Audio W-15 is a 15-inch woofer developed from extensive open-baffle experimentation alongside Lii Audio’s full-range drivers. It was created to provide deep, controlled bass while maintaining tonal transparency and seamless integration.

Unlike many conventional woofers, the W-15 has been specifically optimized to perform even in relatively narrow open-baffle designs—delivering impressive low-frequency weight and extension without sacrificing speed or clarity. Its tonal character remains clean and transparent, allowing it to blend naturally with full-range drivers, midranges, or tweeters without disrupting overall coherence.

Technically, the W-15 features a short voice coil combined with an ultra-thick top plate structure, significantly reducing distortion while maintaining excellent control. With a generous 15mm Xmax, it is capable of strong, articulate bass performance with authority and stability.

The driver uses Lii Audio’s proprietary paper cone material, chosen for its wide frequency response and natural tonal behavior. This ensures consistent integration across a broad range of system configurations.

Its dual voice coil design adds further flexibility, allowing parallel or series wiring to match different amplifier requirements and impedance targets. This also enables the W-15 to function effectively as a subwoofer, expanding system design possibilities for advanced DIY or custom projects.

As a fully self-developed Lii Audio driver, the W-15 is an ideal companion to the brand’s full-range units—particularly in open-baffle systems where coherence, speed, and musical balance are essential.
